Until World War I, lavender was used to treat and disinfect wounds. Hospitals used lavender as an antiseptic and disinfectant to sterilize surfaces and equipment.
 
Today, applying Lavender to wounds can not only increase cell growth, causing the wound to heal faster, but it also decreases the appearance of scars. The oils anti-microbial action protects scrapes and wounds from infection, while allowing them heal.
 
This balm helps to heal cuts, scraps, burns, rashes.
 
Lavender is also very soothing and calming. A study conducted at the University of Leicester in England showed that the use of lavender essential oil is just as effective in promoting sound sleep as traditional medication.
 
It is also excellent for babies. Lavender is one of the few essential oils that is safe for all ages. Its excellent for little cuts from their sharp nails, or when they get scrapes. It’s also excellent to help them to calm down and helps them to fall asleep as well!
