Magnesium: What is it, how do we get it and why do we need this miracle mineral in our lives?

Updated: Jan 18, 2021

Recently, I got an in-depth learning about magnesium chloride. I learned about how most of the population is deficient, how it’s so important for our bodies and that there are different ways to take in magnesium as a supplement for overall health and wellness. So, I thought I would provide a 411 on magnesium and why we need it in our lives!

What is it?

Magnesium Chloride is a type of salt, that comes of seawater or salt lakes. Magnesium is a supplement that is said to help the body in all sorts of ways and is a supplement we are pretty deficient in. It is recognized by many medical professionals as the “Master Magnesium Compound” for both dietary and topical uses, due to its high potency and efficient action.

What does it do?

Magnesium is responsible for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body, including the regulation of blood sugar, blood pressure, and muscle and nerve function. It is also essential to the production of protein, bone mineral, and DNA.

“Although magnesium deficiency is often subclinical (meaning without obvious symptoms), it can manifest with generalized or non-specific symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, depression, fasciculations (involuntary twitches), and arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat).

Chronic magnesium deficiencies are closely linked to a wide range of health concerns, including asthma, migraine, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, and colon cancer.”

Magnesium chloride supplements can help overcome (or, at the very least, mitigate) magnesium deficiency and, by doing so, improve health and physiological function. It is also an essential mineral needed for the body to properly absorb another essential mineral, calcium.

What products can we get Magnesium Chloride in to help improve our health?

Great question! There are oral supplements that you can take to provide sufficient overall intake of magnesium (as there are also different kinds of magnesium!). This is the company I would highly recommend and trust as they are so diligent on the process of the creation of their supplements! If even 1 molecule, smaller than a blood cell, is not right or impure, the whole batch is disposed of and they start from scratch! If you would like a referral code, send us an email!

Other products to absorb and intake Magnesium include:

*Magnesium Sprays

*Magnesium Body Butters

Magnesium Sprays are an awesome way reap the benefits of Magnesium and to experience the wonders this mineral can offer the body!

Magnesium Sprays can help with muscle tension and stiffness, speeds up recovery time, bone absorption, regulating nerve and muscle function, reduces tiredness and fatigue, helps to relieve headaches and migraines, as well as helps in having a restful sleep.

When Magnesium is sprayed onto the skin, it is absorbed into the blood stream, known as trans dermal absorption, as opposed to be digested. This is a quick and effective way of supplementing magnesium into the system.

How to use: Mist five and ten sprays around the body and massage well into the skin. A great time to apply is after a shower or bath when the pores are open and ready to receive this awesome mineral! Make sure to avoid delicate areas such as the eyes.

Magnesium may cause a tingly or even slight burning sensation. This indicated a deficiency in magnesium, not an allergy. This will pass with regular usage of the spray as the body becomes less and less deficient.

Magnesium Body Butters

Body butters are another awesome way to receive trans dermal magnesium absorption. Much like the sprays, this product gets applied topically onto the skin, where magnesium gets absorbed into the blood stream. The difference in these two products is, the butter has a base of nourishing body butters as the carrier of the magnesium oil. This is a 2 in 1. The body butters moisturize and soften the skin, while the magnesium gets absorbed into the skin to go to work doing its job!

Now you know!

Magnesium chloride is also safe for men, women, children, and during pregnancy.
